Community Outreach

Caring for Everyone

Visiting Nurse provides compassionate care to all persons, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, economic status or religion. Visiting Nurse provides trained medical interpreters for limited-English speaking patients to ensure effective communication. Visiting Nurse is proud to have the mission statement translated into Arabic, Burmese, French and Spanish and displayed in our facility.

Visiting Nurse is committed to inclusiveness and removing barriers so all residents of our service area will have the opportunity to be represented in every aspect of our agency. This includes any group subject to prejudice or discrimination on the basis of culture, gender, ethnicity, religion, race, exceptionality, language, nationality, sexual orientation, age, economic status, or education.

Our inclusiveness is reflected in patient care, service to families, community awareness, employment, volunteering, and agency governance.

Visiting Nurse recognizes our success as a community agency is directly linked to our success in inclusiveness, so we monitor our status continuously.
