Who is Hospice Care for? Anyone who:

  • Is terminally ill with a life expectancy of six months or less if the disease process runs its normal course (this is determined by a physician)
  • Plans no further curative care or treatment
  • Is asking for comfort measures only, such as pain management and symptom control
  • Does not want repeat hospitalizations

Hospice care is available in the home, independent/assisted living community, a nursing facility or in our 14-bed Hospice Home.

How can Hospice Care Help? By providing:

  • Medical services of our hospice physicians in addition to the patient’s physicians
  • Skilled nursing visits including hospice-certified RNs and LPNs
  • 24-hour RN on call for questions, emergencies or visits
  • Therapies as needed to enhance quality of life
  • Social worker services
  • Home health aide visits
  • Spiritual support
  • Volunteer services
  • Music therapy and massage therapy
  • Medication for symptom control
  • Medical equipment and supplies
  • Emotional support for patients and family
  • Grief support for family members
